5 Tips to Create Comedy During the Coronavirus & Coronavirus Humor

1) Laugh at the coronavirus.

*Yes this is a serious topic, and it should absolutely be treated as one. People should strictly adhere to CDC guidelines and do their part in flattening the curve. That being said, laughing at something can help make it easier to deal with, and gives one control. One shouldn't let this pandemic take more then it already has, and that includes a sense of humor.

2) Laugh at yourself.

*Don't take yourself to seriously, these are hard times, but as the old adage goes, "this too shall pass".

3) Laugh at your pets

*As I write this my brothers 85lb black lab is trying to sit on my laugh, unaware that he is no longer a puppy

4) Use your time to catch up on TV shows, or watch movies you've wanted to for awhile

*If you're like me, you've spent most your isolation watching an absurd amount of TV, for me it helps me laugh and think about different things.

5) TikTok

*For those who have TikTok, this needs no explanation.

  1. Patrick, I appreciated your SNL clip. I hope you know that SNL is doing a live, social-distancing version tomorrow night. During my quarantine, I have spent so much time mining for comedic gold on TikTok - glad I am not alone in that. I hope you are finding time to rest and refocus during this time, as well as laugh of course!

  3. I definitely agree with your 3rd tip. Spending time with your dog might be the best thing that comes out of this quarantine. I catch myself laughing at my dog constantly throughout the day. I know my dog's the biggest beneficiary from this whole Coronavirus pandemic because I spend so much time with her.
